One Arrested After Low Speed Chase

LUFKIN — A Lufkin man is arrested following a low-speed chase with three kids in his car. Taken into custody Thursday night was 36 year old Shun Lacree Butler. After several traffic violations and an unrestrained child in the front seat, a sheriff’s deputy tried to stop him. They say Butler kept going, but not over 35 miles an hour. He finally stopped in the 1800 block of Kurth Drive. Besides facing four traffic charges, he is also accused of evading arrest with a vehicle and and three abandon or endanger child charges.
