John Tyler High School CSI Team Advances

TYLER – John Tyler High School Criminal Justice students have advanced to the national competition scheduled to take place in Louisville, Kentucky this summer. This comes after the students competed in the Skills USA state competition earning 3rd place in both Criminal Justice Quiz Bowl and Building Search categories. They then took top honors with a 1st place finish in the Crime Scene Investigation category.

Michelle Graybill, sponsor of the JT Criminal Justice Student Association said, “I am so happy these students are reaping the rewards for their hard work and dedication. They have been relentless in their efforts to prepare for their competition by training before and after school, on weekends, and during holiday breaks. I could not be more proud of them.”

“Hard work, dedication, and teamwork is what got us to this point,” Ka’Darius Ross, CSI team leader, said on behalf of all three team members. “We would like to thank Mrs. Graybill and the Tyler Police Department for being behind us the whole way. We are speechless over our win, but honored to represent John Tyler and the state of Texas at the national competition!”
