Gregg County Disaster Declaration

LONGVIEW – County Judge Bill Stoudt has issued a disaster declaration for Gregg County in the wake of today’s flooding. The letter he sent to Governor Greg Abbott says the county has suffered widespread or severe damage, injury or loss of life or property resulting from flash flooding and substantial rainfall. The state of disaster shall continue for a period of not more than seven days. The American Red Cross has set up shelters for those affected by the flood waters in Gregg County.
