Sheriff Smith Endorses Bryan Hughes

TYLER – State Representative Bryan Hughes has announced the endorsement of Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith in his race for State Senate. Hughes is in the runoff against David Simpson. According to Sheriff Smith, “Bryan Hughes is the conservative leader we need in the Texas Senate. He will fight to secure our border and stop the flow of illegal immigration and illegal drugs that threaten our schools and our communities.” Hughes said it was a blessing to enter the runoff with 47.98% of the vote in the primary. He said, “With four strong candidates in the race, I am very thankful for such a large margin. The runoff election will be held May 24th.
