Record Voter Turnout

SMITH COUNTY — Smith County saw a record voter turnout for the 2016 Presidential Primary Election. A total of 45,223 ballots were cast, 17,781 were early votes. There were 27,442 people who cast ballots on Tuesday alone. In comparison, in the 2008 Presidential Primary, there were a total of 41,130 votes cast. in the 2012 Presidential Primary Election, total votes cast came to 29,610.
