Property Tax Deadline Extended One Day

TYLER — Since January 31 fell on a Sunday, you can pay your property taxes on Monday, according to a news release from Smith County. The deadline has been pushed back to February 1 to allow people to make their property tax payments on time. The payments can be made online or in person at the Smith County Tax Office at the Cotton Belt Building at Front and Glenwood in Tyler. The payments can also be mailed, as long as they are postmarked by Monday, February 1, Smith County Tax Assessor/Collector Gary Barber said.
