Brief Gregg County Power Outage

LONGVIEW – There was brief power outage Tuesday for some Gregg County Southwestern Electric Power Company customers. Some switches malfunctioned at a substation in north Longview. This caused a brief power outage shortly after 1:15 Tuesday afternoon. Scott McCloud with SWEPCO says about 5,000 customers saw a momentary blink, but only around 650 customers saw an outage. The power for a majority of those customers was back on before 2:45.
