LONGVIEW — The Longview Fire Department is investigating multiple fires which are believed to have been “intentionally set” late Tuesday and early Wednesday. KETK reports the first three fires crews responded to were on Tuesday night. The string of fires began at about 8:39 p.m. when firefighters were dispatched to Twelfth Street near the Wells Street intersection for a house fire. Officials said a hallway, closet, and bedroom were damaged.
At about 9:20 p.m. firefighters were called to Dunbar Drive near South Green Street for a home engulfed in flames. A little more than an hour later at 10:36 p.m., dispatchers sent firefighters to a home fire on Sue Street near Margo Street. Half of the home was on fire when crews arrived. Finally, at or around 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, fire crews responded to Butler Drive near Dixon Street for a residential structure engulfed in flames upon arrival. Officials say there is no clear link among the fires.
