Angelina County Commissioner Pleads Guilty

LUFKIN — In a plea deal, an Angelina County Commissioner has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges. Precinct 3 County Commissioner Robert Loggins has been sentenced to one year of deferred adjudication, fined $750 and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution. If he stay out of trouble with the law for the next year, the charged will be dropped from his record. Loggins also agreed not to run for releection. Loggins was arrested in 2014 and charged with abuse of official capacity. He was accused of using county equipment for his personal use on two different occasions.
