Rusk Fire Chief Charged With Assault

RUSK — KETK is reporting that the volunteer fire chief for the City of Rusk, Donald Langford, has been charged with assault. The complaint is said to have involved an incident with two teenagers on New Year’s Eve. He is accused of trying to pull the teens out of their vehicle near Highway 69 and Highway 84. Rusk Mayor Angela Raiborn tells the station Langford is not on administrative leave. Firefighters say Langford is due back at work Monday.
