Armed Suspect Sought Following Robbery

GREGG COUNTY — The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Longview convenience store. According to Deputy Josh Tubb, the robbery happened Monday morning around 6:00 at Mr. C’s Convenience Store on Alpine Road, near Alpine Golf Course and Loop 281. Deputy Tubb said a black male wearing dark clothes reportedly entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Witness said the suspect was of medium build, between 5’05” and 5’10” with scars on his hand. His face covered with some type of mask. No injuries were reported.
