Wood County Farm Road Remains Closed

WOOD COUNTY — Farm Road 2869 at Holly Lake Ranch in Wood County remains closed after the roadway sustained damage during last weekend’s storms. The road is expected to remain closed for several more days as crews work to make the needed repairs.

According to a news release from TxDOT, needed equipment has arrived and repairs are underway. Crews will work through New Year’s Day and the weekend to fix a washout that occurred last Saturday forcing the closure. If the repairs can be completed over the weekend, the roadway could return to normal traffic flow by Monday. However, unforeseen issues encountered during repairs could change the anticipated completion date.

Meanwhile, crews in Wood County continue to monitor FM 1254 and FM 1804, which remain closed due to high water.

– FM 2063 in Cherokee County
– FM 1667 in Henderson County
