Rate Hike for Loop 49

TYLER — Look for a toll rate hike on Loop 49 starting the first of the year. According to Everett Owen, Interim Executive Director of the North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority, the increases are not new. It had previously been decided that the rate adjustments would be incremental to bring Tyler closer to the state average. The funds are used to maintain and expand the toll road.
