New Head Football Coach at Lee

New Head Football Coach at LeeTYLER — Robert E. Lee High School has a new head football coach. Clayton George was named to the post at Monday night’s school board meeting. Coach George comes to Tyler from Dallas where he currently is assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Southlake Carroll. They won state championships in 2002 and 2011. He was named as the 2015 Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Football Foundation Gridiron Club of Dallas. A 1989 Athens High School graduate, George’s coaching career has spanned over two decades in Texas, with experience at the high school, junior college, and Division I university level.
