Gregg County Constable Pleads Guilty to DWIGREGG COUNTY — A Gregg County constable pleaded guilty in Franklin County to a driving while intoxicated charge and was handed a $2,000 fine. According to the Longview News-Journal, Pct. 3 Constable Mike Baggett also was sentenced to three days in jail by Franklin County Judge Scott Lee, who allowed credit for two days Baggett served when he was arrested in March 2014. Baggett has until next Tuesday to file for re-election. His deputy, John ‘Dickie’ McCubbin, has filed for the seat and says Baggett is helping with his campaign.
