Jacksonville Man Dies in Troup-Area Wreck

TROUP — A Jacksonville man has died in an accident that shut down both lanes of State Highway 110 north of Troup for part of Wednesday night. KETK reports two vehicles collided head-on just before 6:00 p.m. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports a car was driving south in the northbound lane when it collided with an SUV that was driving north. The driver of the car was Terry Ivy, 48. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV has been identified as Florentina Jaimes, 46, of Troup. She, along with 9-year-old Yanaly Jaimes and 12-year-old Augistine Jaimes, were taken to a Tyler medical center for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
