BBB Calls for Award Nominees, Gives Shredding Day Results

TYLER — The Better Business Bureau Serving Central East Texas is requesting nominations for the 2016 BBB Awards for Excellence. BBB says the awards honor businesses and charities that demonstrate superior ethics, reliability, and trustworthiness. Nominations for businesses are due November 20. Winners will be recognized at a ceremony on January 26, 2016, at the Crosswalk Conference Center in Tyler.
In other news, over 15,100 pounds of paper was collected, safely destroyed, and recycled at BBB’s Secure Your ID Day event Wednesday in Lindale. Officials says the event invited the public to bring unwanted sensitive material to be shredded safely. More than 100 BBBs across North America participated in the simultaneous event.
