Football Games Moved due to Weather

EAST TEXAS — Rainy weather has forced the postponement of a number of high school football games in the area. According to KETK, the John Tyler game against Corsicana was delayed until 5:00 p.m. today. Major flooding was reported in the Corsicana area, specifically on I-45. Tyler Lee and North Garland will play at 2 p.m. today in Garland. The White Oak-Harmony game was put off until 2 p.m. today in Tatum. Union Grove at Ore City was re-scheduled until 11:00 this morning. Chapel Hill squares off against Kilgore at 5:00 this afternoon. Troup faces Winona at 6:30 this evening. The Bullard-Gilmer game has been moved to 4 p.m. today. The Overton-Mt. Enterprise game is also set for 4:00 this afternoon.
Frankston vs. Elysian Fields has been moved to 2 p.m. today in Arp. Quitman and Sabine will also get started at 2 p.m. today. The Mt. Enterprise-Overton contest will kick off at 4 p.m. today. Alto and Cayuga won’t meet up until Monday at 6:30 p.m. Ore City and Union Grove re-scheduled their kickoff for at 11:00 this morning. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy’s homecoming game has been postponed, with no new date given. Homecoming Court and Senior Presentations will now be held at 6:30 this evening at the Gibson Pharmacy event room right before the Sock Hop dance.
