Power Outage Prompts Traffic Advisory

TYLER — Tyler police say numerous traffic lights were knocked out in the area of Bergfeld Park Friday, west of S. Broadway. Power was restored by late afternoon, but with more rough weather on the way, drivers may want to stay on the alert. Police say when such incidents occur, you’re urged to be cautious and treat any intersection as a four-way stop if a traffic light is inoperable there, and if an officer is not present. Police were told that a transformer blew in the area.
