Gregg County Shooting Death under Investigation

LONGVIEW — A 61-year-old man has been shot and killed in Gregg County. Details are limited, but witnesses say the shooting stemmed from an altercation. The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched around 10:24 Wednesday night to a residence in the area of Goforth Road and FM 3053 in the Liberty City area. Deputies arrived to find Paul Ray Jackson lying on the ground outside the residence. Officials say the incident is still actively being investigated, and they’re asking anyone with information to contact Investigator Falco at (903) 236-8438 or Crime Stoppers at (903) 236-STOP.
