One Dead in Cherokee County Shooting

RUSK — The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead. According to KETK, officials say Monday at 3:30 a.m., they responded to a call in reference to a gunshot victim in the 4000 block of Farm to Market Road 235. A man identified as Tony Scott Brazier, 47, was found dead in his residence. Witnesses said Brazier had been arguing with a white male over money on the telephone and via text messages. The man then arrived at Brazier’s residence with another white male and white female. The argument continued and Brazier was shot at close range. Doye “Duke” Haney, 26, a female named Crystal, and a male named J.D. are wanted by the sheriff’s office for questioning. No arrests have been made at this time.
