Three Arrested, Others Sought in Multiple Crimes

LONGVIEW — Three teens have been arrested in an East Texas crime spree including a variety of offenses. The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office says on Saturday at about 3:00 a.m. it began investigating a criminal episode that involved a stolen ATV, criminal mischief to a residence, four vehicle burglaries, two residence burglaries, the theft of a firearm, an arson of a residence, and three stolen vehicles. The ATV theft occurred in the Diana area of Upshur County, and all other offenses were at residences in northern Gregg County.
17-year-old Demarcus Acles of Longview and two Longview juveniles, ages 13 and 16, were arrested with the assistance of Longview police. The stolen ATV, the weapon, and all three vehicles were recovered. The burned house on Brown Road was a total loss. Gregg County investigators believe other people had a part in the offenses.
