BBB Accepting Applications for Kay Robinson ScholarshipTYLER – The Better Business Bureau Education Foundation of Central East Texas is now accepting applications for the Kay Robinson Student of Integrity Video Scholarship program. According to a BBB news release, the program recognizes two college-bound seniors who personify high ethics as demonstrated through their creative talents in creation of a 30- to 60-second video, as well as their overall personal integrity and academic history. The award is named after Kay Robinson, who served as CEO for BBB Serving Central East Texas from 1985-2009. Mrs. Robinson died in January 2014.

The scholarship is available to any student who resides and attends the twelfth grade in the nineteen-county region served by BBB of Central East Texas. The students will submit a video essay about how one or all of the BBB Standards for Trust (Build Trust, Advertise Honestly, Tell the Truth, Be Transparent, Honor Promises, Be Responsive, Safeguard Privacy, and Embody Integrity) relate to business. Applications must also include letters of recommendation and the student’s high school transcript. Applications and videos must be received by BBB offices by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016. The first place winner will be awarded a $2,000 textbook scholarship to an accredited college or university. Second place will be awarded $1,000. Finalists will be notified by Friday, January 15, 2016.

The recipients of the 2015-2016 Kay Robinson Student of Integrity Scholarship will be honored at the BBB Awards Ceremony on January 26, 2016.
