Phillips Running for Commissioner Again

TYLER — Smith County Precinct 3 Commissioner Terry Phillips is seeking a third term. In a news release, the Republican cites his “excellent conservative voting record.” Among other things, Phillips is drawing attention to his role in promoting voting centers, which have been approved for the upcoming November election. The centers will allow residents to vote at any polling place without being restricted to their precinct. So far, there’s no announced opposition to Phillips.
