whitehouse-policeWHITEHOUSE — The city of Whitehouse has a new acting police chief. According to KETK, Interim Police Chief Daniel Finkelstein had planned to step down September 23, but the city held a meeting Wednesday morning and decided it was in Whitehouse’s best interest to name a new interim chief. Detective Scott Bradley will take over operations immediately, according to Fire Chief Madison Johnson. Finkelstein will be compensated through September 23. He took over the position after former Police Chief Craig Shelton resigned amid a scandal involving several city employees. Shelton was cleared of all charges.
