City Wins Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

TYLER — The City of Tyler has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its fiscal year 2014-2015 budget document. This is the ninth consecutive year that the city’s budget document has received the recognition, according to a news release. The award was granted by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and was presented to the city during Wednesday’s City Council meeting. According to the release, City of Tyler Chief Financial Officer Keidric Trimble says the award reflects the city’s “commitment…to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting.”
