Autopsy Report Released in Longview Death

LONGVIEW — A man found dead in a Longview motel room last Friday died from a stab wound to his neck. The preliminary autopsy report on the death of Arnold Lee McCollaum Jr., 47, of Longview, was released yesterday. It said, when he was stabbed, his jugular vein was perforated. McCollaum was found dead in a room at the American Dream Inn in the 2000 block of East Marshall Avenue, where he lived. Arrested in the case was Gary Don Murphy, 51, of Kilgore. (Pictured) He was arrested without incident and charged with murder several hours after the body was discovered. His bond was set at $250,000.
