More Counties Impose Outdoor Burning BansEAST TEXAS – More East Texas counties have now imposed bans on outdoor burning due to continued hot, dry conditions. The latest map from KETK shows Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Anderson, Cherokee, and Angelina among the counties with burn bans. Smith County Judge Joel Baker says the current weather poses a serious threat of wildfires throughout the county, adding that the Smith County ban will be in effect until further notice.
