Woman Back in Jail in Triple-Fatality Accident

HENDERSON — A Henderson woman accused of killing three people in a July 2014 accident near Kilgore is back behind bars. KETK reports Shelby Taylor, 23, was indicted by a Rusk County grand jury last October on three charges of intoxication manslaughter. Her bond was initially set at $750,000. On Wednesday, the bond was declared unpaid. Taylor was re-arrested and placed back into the Rusk County Jail for the same charges. Taylor waived her right to a pre-trial arraignment and pleaded not guilty. She is asking the jury to grant her community supervision as punishment because she has never been convicted of a felony in Texas. The accident took the lives of three people from Caldwell, Texas — a 43-year-old woman and her two children, ages 5 and 12.
