Longview Police Probe Toddler’s Death

LONGVIEW — Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old girl Monday afternoon at a Longview apartment complex. According to KETK and the Longview News-Journal, Gregg County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson called the death “suspicious.” Jameson said he has ordered an autopsy from Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. Longview police were called to Huntington Hills apartments in the 2500 block of North Eastman Road Monday afternoon to assist with an EMS call. Police said the victim died at the scene. Police did not immediately release information regarding the nature of the child’s death.
