One Killed in Longview Wreck

LONGVIEW — One person is dead following a single-vehicle wreck around 10:35 Sunday night in the 3100 block of Pine Tree Road in Longview. Police were told that the driver was northbound and lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway and collided with a utility pole and a tree. A passenger, Luster Laray Mitchell, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, identified as Markus Glenn Edmond of Longview, and another passenger, Phillip Hudson III, were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with what were termed non-life-threatening injuries. All three people in the car were 24 years old. The accident remains under investigation.
