TYLER — Five artists with strong ties to the region are in the spotlight with the Tyler Museum of Art’s newest major exhibition, Reflections of East Texas, on view July 26 through Sept. 27. According to a museum news release, the exhibition features more than 30 works across a broad spectrum of media by artists Keith Carter, Ted Ellis, Diane Frossard, Mike Perry, and Franklin Demetrius Willis. Several of the works were recently completed and will be seen by the public for the first time during the show’s run.
In a news release, exhibition co-curator Jon Perry terms the show “a homecoming to East Texas,” saying he hopes viewers come away with “a broader sense of the East Texas experience.†You can go to http://www.tylermuseum.org to learn more about the exhibition and about the museum.
