AUSTIN – The Texas Water Development Board Thursday approved $410,000 in financial assistance from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Hudson in Angelina County. The City will be able to finance planning and design costs associated with replacing its wastewater treatment plant, according to a TWDB news release. Officials say the city could save approximately $60,600 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. Hudson’s wastewater treatment plant was built in 1978 and has reached the end of its useful service life, according to the news release. The award was part of $15,364,000 in financial assistance for water and wastewater system improvements distributed to four entities around the state. TWDB also approved $3.9 billion in assistance through the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT).
