Body Pulled from Lake Fork

LAKE FORK — Wood County officials are investigating the possible drowning of a man early Wednesday morning. KETK reports the body was pulled from Lake Fork near the FM 515 bridge at around 7 a.m. Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Tony Gilbreath identified the victim as Darryl Lynn Mathis, 44, of Yantis. Game wardens say the Mathis’s family became worried when he did not come home following a fishing trip. They then decided to go and look for him. While searching the waters, they discovered his body, which has been sent for an autopsy.
