Nacogdoches Man Charged with Arson

NACOGDOCHES — A Nacogdoches man has been accused of setting a house on fire with two small children inside. Arrested Sunday was Monroe Deanthony Ward, 25. He is accused of setting the fire after his girlfriend told him to leave. Another woman in the home, who was said to have been pregnant, was said to have been injured getting her children out of the burning house. Ward has been charged with first degree arson causing bodily injury. He is currently free on a $25,000 bond
