An Arrest May Have Cleared a String of Thefts

KILGORE — Kilgore police believe they may have solved a string of recent trailer thefts with the arrest of a Longview man. Kilgore police have taken into custody John Cody DeWitt, 42, of Longview. He was named in a theft warrant issued by the Longview Police Department. DeWitt has been linked to six trailer thefts in Kilgore and numerous other trailer thefts in Gregg County. And the investigation is ongoing.
