Lightning Strike Apparently Causes Morning House Fire

SMITH COUNTY — Fire officials are investigating an early morning house fire. According to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office and KETK, a home in the 1500 block of Cooks Crossing caught fire Monday morning. They believe it was caused by a lightning strike. Details are limited.
