House Fire Blamed on Lightning Strike

TYLER — Lightning appears to be the cause of a house fire in Tyler late Friday night. It happened in the 1500 block of Cumberland Road just before 10:30. According to KETK, when firefighters arrived at the scene, the entire second floor of the house was in engulfed. After several hours, fire crews were able to completely extinguish the blaze. The first floor received minor smoke and water damage. No one was injured during the blaze. Fire investigators say the fire was sparked by lightning.
