Woman Dies in Lufkin Accident

LUFKIN – A fatal car/pedestrian accident in Lufkin remains under investigation. Killed in the accident Thursday night was Yolanda Hernandez-Vasquez, 53, of Lufkin. She died at a Lufkin hospital after being hit by a car driven by Eric Vidal, 19, of Lufkin. Police say she was not crossing at an intersection when the accident occurred.
