Gilmer ISD Employee Charged with Sexual Assault

GILMER – An instructional aide in the Gilmer school system has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. The Longview News-Journal identified the employee as Orlandos Lugene Johnson, 46. He has been an employee of the school system over 20 years. He was arrested after a former student made allegations of sexual abuse. School Superintendent Rick Albritton says Johnson was immediately placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
