Police: Man Who Escaped from Custody Turns Self In

isaiahjacksonmugMARSHALL – Authorities say a man who escaped police custody in Marshall has turned himself in to authorities. KETK reports that at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, Isaiah Jackson, 18, was being taken to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office on two bond forfeiture warrants. Jackson was being brought out of a Marshall Police Department patrol unit upon arrival at the Harrison County Jail and ran away from police, according to authorities.

Police say Jackson ran westbound and was not immediately located. He was handcuffed behind his back at the time of his escape and may have walked his cuffs to the front of his body or even removed them by the time of this release, according to officials. According to officials, Jackson, still handcuffed, turned himself in to the Marshall Police Department around 8:15 a.m. Friday. He has been booked into the Harrison County Jail on two warrants of bond forfeiture and escape from custody.
