Man Gets Prison, Probation in Child Sex Case

RUSK — A Cherokee County man has drawn a two-year prison sentence and ten years probation after pleading guilty last week to indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. KETK reports that Charles Draper Skinner, aka “Draper Skinner,” entered a guilty plea Feb. 12 in the county’s Second District Court. Skinner got the prison time for the indecency with a child charge and probation for the assault charge. Upon his release from prison, Skinner will be supervised in Cherokee County. A probation violation could result in a sentence of between five years and life in prison.
