Bicyclist Killed after Being Hit by Car

TYLER – A bicyclist has been killed just outside the Tyler city limits after being hit by a car. David Durbin III, 21, of Whitehouse, was pronounced dead the scene. The accident happened around 1:00 Sunday morning on Old Jacksonville Highway. The Department of Public Safety reports Durbin was attempting to cross the highway and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The car was driven by a Flint man, who was not injured.
