Tyler Man Accused of Trying to Hire Hit Man

TYLER — An East Texas man has been taken into custody for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife, according to KETK. Judicial records show Chip Patrick Owens, 32, Tyler, was booked into the Smith County Jail shortly after 7:00 last night. His bond was set at $1 million dollars. Owens is charged with criminal solicitation.
