Late Bloomers at Tyler’s Caldwell Zoo

TYLER – Among the new arrivals at Tyler’s Caldwell Zoo are some baby Chilean Flamingos. According to the zoo’s web site, the Chilean flamingos have taken their time laying eggs, but the zoo finally has a few little ones to add to the flock. These tiny birdies will be hand-raised by the zookeepers since it is much too cold for them to live outdoors. They’ll be introduced to the rest of the flock in the spring, once the weather warms up.
