Section of Green Street to be Closed

LONGVIEW — Green Street will be closed between Cotton and Nelson Streets beginning today for construction. The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the four lane section of road between Cotton and Young and replace utilities. The construction is scheduled for completion by early 2016. As construction progresses, portions will be opened to traffic. Drivers wishing to travel between Cotton and Nelson must use alternate routes such as High or Mobberly Streets. This project was approved by voters as part of the Capital Improvements Bond Election in May 2011. This project is being constructed by Longview Bridge and Road of Longview.
