LONGVIEW — Longview police release disturbing details about carnage allegedly planned by a Pine Tree High School student. 17-year-old Christopher Jones was arrested Monday after a tipster told federal agents he was threatening to carry out a shooting at the school. KETK reports that during a search of Jones’s house, the FBI seized 17 firearms, two 26-inch swords, brass knuckles, two computers, and two flash drives. A search warrant on Jones’s smartphone also revealed three other people were involved in plans to carry out the shooting, according to authorities. Jones wouldn’t reveal the names of the other three people and later told officers no one else was involved. Records show Jones was released from the Gregg County Jail on bond.
