Two Nabbed in Athens Drug Raid

ATHENS — Two Henderson County residents were arrested Tuesday during a drug raid in Athens. According to KETK, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies obtained a search warrant for a home to look for narcotics. At 2 p.m., both deputies and Athens police officers executed the warrant. During the raid, authorities say they seized suspected marijuana, Xanax bars, and crack cocaine. The suspected drugs will be sent to the crime lab for confirmation.
Law enforcement officials arrested Carlos Santan Hull, 30, and Michael Alan Carthen, 60. Hull was charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence. He was taken to the Henderson County Jail, then released on $10,000 bond. Carthen faces one count of possession of marijuana. He was also transferred to the Henderson County Jail and was later released on $3,500 bond.
