Lear Park to Provide Overflow Parking for Fair and Blues Fest

LONGVIEW — With the T-Bone Walker Blues Fest and the Gregg County Fair both expected to draw large crowds this weekend to Longview’s Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, overflow parking and shuttle buses have been made available for the weekend at nearby Lear Park. To accommodate the needs of both events, there will be no access to the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex from Lake Lamond Road or Jaycee Drive.
According to a news release from the city of Longview, attendees of the T-Bone Walker Fest are encouraged to enter the facility on Grand Boulevard or utilize the overflow parking located at Lear Park, 100 H.G. Mosley Pkwy. The parking lots located on Jaycee Drive are intended for use by Gregg County Fair attendees. Fair attendees may also access parking via Grand Boulevard or utilize the Lear Park overflow parking. Entrance will not be allowed off Lake Lamond Road onto Tex-Pack Street as that road will be utilized as exit only. Free shuttle buses will run between Lear Park and Maude Cobb from 2:00 p.m. today till 1:00 a.m. Sunday.
