Longview Named among Top Booming Small Cities

LONGVIEW — Forbes recently released a list of America’s Booming Small Cities 2014, and Longview is included in the top 10. KETK reports the city was named number six overall. The area’s metro population checks in at 216,000 — an 11.5 percent increase since 2000. The population isn’t the only thing seeing a steady rise. The area had a per capita income growth of 25 percent, along with an 18 percent increase in job growth.
